St. Louis Panhellenic Receives Two Awards from NPC

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), one of the nation’s largest advocacy organizations for women, has recognized top Alumnae Panhellenic groups for service to community and sorority. In Missouri, the St. Louis Panhellenic Alumnae Association was recognized with a Citation of Merit award and the Programming Excellence for their efforts to award $10,000 in scholarships over the past two years to sorority women from the St. Louis Metro area. Each month over 35 local sorority alumnae women gather to plan their fundraisers and annual scholarship luncheon plus select scholarship winners. The association also attends college fairs to talk to students about “Going Greek”.
According to NPC’s most current data, there are 197 Alumnae Panhellenics. In the past year, community-based alumnae groups have collectively:
- Donated 53,394 hours to community service;
- Raised $438,757 for undergraduate scholarships;
- Awarded 412 scholarships;
- And contributed $84,247 to community causes.
“We’re recognizing alumnae organizations for continuing excellence and service they provide in their communities and to sorority women in college,” said Nicki Meneley,
executive director of the conference.
